Inspired by the “CBS TAPS” project for Memorial Day, where trumpeters were invited across the nation to play “Taps” at 3pm EST that afternoon, Mr. Burts invited his band students to play “Amazing Grace” this past Wednesday (6/3) at 3pm. "I asked for them to do so outdoors, in hopes that neighbors might hear them. It was a small way for us to connect during a difficult week."
